Mark - you've recently released the new reports showing the sequences by captain for winning & losing the toss. The report for the Surrey Cryptics shows a losing sequence for our 'leading' skipper of 31 matches, essentially all matches between May 2000 and September 2002. Although this is statistically improbable, it matches with the data in the system. BUT, the data does not match the source data used to migrate from the old off-line system to the on-line system, where there are several instances of our skipper winning the toss. Appreciate your views. Best regards, Peter Andrew (statto, Surrey Cryptics CC).

Hi Mark - having a problem with this report. The report for our club is here: https://www2.cricketstatz.com/ss/web.aspx?newpage=1&mode=49&club=20717&team= The data for wickets 1-5, and 10, is accurate. The data for wickets 6 through 9 is wrong. The partnership value is actually the innings total, and the two players allegedly involved are essentially random from our teamsheet. Please use the date link in the report to see what I mean. Regards, Peter Andrew (Surrey Cryptics CC)

I'd like to set specific criteria for reports like Batting and Bowling averages, such as 'more than 50 innings', or 'more than 100 overs'. I know this is possible in the Administrator area, but I'd like to make it available to all our internet users automatically. [Mark - I may have asked this previously, but can't find a record of our discussion]

Mark - thanks for the draft report, that provides the data for my Catching Report suggestions on this thread. The data is interesting, what would really enhance it is a summary that totals the fielders/bowlers involved. So I can see who has taken the most catches off my bowling, or the bowlers off whom I've taken the most catches. Happy to elaborate if this doesn't make sense. Best regards, Peter

Hi Mark - looking for some advice, please. I want to tag various tour matches that we have played over the years, so that the guys can query the statistics by 'top runs on tour', etc etc, in the Statistics section. I think my options are to set up a new classification either for Division or for Venue, and then tag each relevant match accordingly. Although in the Statistics, Venue isn't a selection option so it would have to be Division (which I don't use for anything other purpose right now). Or, I could make a specific entry into the Pool field for each relevant match, and any user can then filter on it in the Statistics section. Are these logical propositions, and is either of them better than the other? And is there some better way that I've missed? Thanks, Peter

Hi Mark - we have a player (Tommy Hope-Dunbar) who sometimes keeps wicket, but not every time he plays. In both systems he shows as having taken 58 catches. In v11, he shows as taking 38 as a fielder and 20 as keeper, which makes sense. But in the on-line system, I see him with 53 as keeper, and only 5 as a fielder. Has something changed in the criteria for determining keeper status? Regards, Peter Andrew

Hi Mark - match #325 (numbering by the old system), which was played on 17 August 2014, is not showing on the on-line system, or being reflected in the statistics. It would definitely have been in the data load file we sent you earlier this year, as there's nothing special about it, and data would have been recorded in sequence in the old system. Can I swear I've seen this match in the on-line system? No, but why would it have been dropped from the upload? Let me know if I can give you any more information to help find and restore the match. Best regards, Peter Andrew Surrey Cryptics CC

Hi Mark The Administrator view of reports allows selection of (e.g.) minimum overs as a criterion for appearing in the report. Can this be used to set defaults in the Non-administrators views? Further, can the default be varied depending whether a season's data or all data is selected? This is not a question of limiting results to current players. We still want to see data for those club legends who have hung up their boots, but want to exclude the one-match wonders who rocked up, got a century, and were never seen again. Regards, Peter Andrew

Hi Mark - have just started adding this season's scoresheets to the on-line version. Entering an innings, realised I needed to add a player. Did this, but he then was not offered in the drop-down box. He appears in the list for the correct club, and is marked as 'active' (as advised in Q3 of the FAQs). Only strange thing is when I look under 'list' in the team, he's in the 'Available' box, but not in the 'Selected' box on the right. If I highlight him and hit the arrow to transfer him, there's an error msg 'Max Team Size (40) Exceeded' - but there are several hundred names in the 'Selected' box.

Mark - does the system have a facility to attach text match reports to a specific match? Apologies if it does, and I've missed it. If so, is that with or without photos (appreciate this would have an impact on data sizes)? Regards, Peter
