I have noticed that on the Player Stats pages when you filter for season, division, pool etc that when you click the matches, batting , bowling, fielding links/buttons at the bottom of their page that the match by match data doesn't get filtered. It report the same data each time unfiltered. The match by match data would be useful with filters so for example people can filter for just finals match by match so you can view the records without all the the other data intermingled with it.

There is more of a note for others but with the transfer of data from MyCricket to Play Cricket, they have lost most of the Fall of Wicket data.   I checked a couple of our old Grand Final matches which I knew had the correct FoW data in MyCricket but none of it has really transferred over into Play Cricket.  There are some random FoW’s but they aren’t correct.   This will mean none of the partnerships records in CS will work correctly for any imported matches.   This FoW issue was the same in PlayHQ and Play Cricket for most matches of this season but it seems to have improved the last few weeks so maybe they will also fix this issue but I wouldn’t hold my breath….

When live scoring from MyCricket it records the over and ball when a batsman is dismissed - with the recent addition in CS of being able to record the over No. for each FoW, can this be imported from MyCricket? This data is not on the MyCricket scorecard for the match but it is in the statistics section of the match under ball by ball for the innings. Just wondering if this is possible?

Not really an issue as such….but can you add the Match Type to this report? It would help when filtering 2 inns , 1 inns and T20 matches.

It would be great to have the link button to import matches from MyCricket (and i assume Play-Cricket etc) at the top of the Matches screen. Currently you have to navigate thru the Setup screen and then Import button to get to the screen each time that allows you to actually import a match. Would be a good little time saver!

As I understand this report is sorted by : date/time played then innings batted in then batting position. When clubs have multiple teams all playing on the same day and same time how does the system know which player is first in the order? Eg our club has 4 teams – a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th XI. We award “Cap No’s” to players to acknowledge their first match so we need to have the order correct. So we have anyone new playing in the 1st XI coming before players in the 2nd XI etc. So I have to dump this report into Excel and then resort it based on the team they are in. Just wondering does any other club use this report for this same purpose? and how do you do it? Also we don’t do the order by batting position rather alphabetical like the Aussie Test does it. I think this is a more appropriate way as I’m not sure how you order it if 2 new players both don’t bat in their first game – which players goes first? If you do it alphabetical then there is always an order to follow.

Just wondering how others on here handle it when opposition clubs decide to change their club name? Noting our database is setup in single club mode. When recently adding some matches from years ago to our database and finding a new opposition club I hadn’t really thought about it much and just added the new club, but then after finding some old Association year books and in them found some articles indicating some clubs that I thought were new clubs were actually still the same club having simply changed their club name. So I was wondering do you: Have the the one “club” name setup but then have 2 different “team” names associated with the club using each of the club names - this would enable to report against each team but also the one club Just have the seperate club names with their respective team names like I have been previously doing - this would have each club and team reported separately On top of this what do you do with club mergers? Once again I’ve just created a new club each time and keep it separated from the previous merged clubs.

What happened to the sorting of player names feature when selecting a team? I found this feature very handy but now it seems to have disappeared, you can still do it manually but it just takes time. When you have 2 players in a team like James Baker and Justin Baker it makes it much easier selecting them when they are in alphabetical order when entering the match deatils.

So currently to get the reports to work correctly, the date filters on the database need to run from 1st Oct 2004 to 31 Dec 9999 which then picks up the history career stats for matches played prior to 1st Oct 2004 – noting that using these data filters removes any matches I’ve entered directly prior to 1st Oct 2004. So are you able to let me know why some players names are appearing on the Milestone report whilst others are not? Cheers

I used to be able to download a Report of results which had each Teams Scores, the Round #, Date, Ground, Match Type and Result. I don't seem to be able to replicate this report anymore - not sure if is was only available in Version 11? It was very handy for collating Teams scores for each round over a period of time and analyzing it for certain situations. Eg i was able to tell captains that if you batted first and made over 200 runs in a 40 ov match then you would win 85% of the time.

On the Admin site it would be nice to have the ability to select multiple Venues (like multiple Divisions) when running the reports. As sometimes when we have played at a venue that has multiple pitches some people have entered the specific ground # at that location whilst other people have only used the generic ground name - so it would be nice to have the ability to group them together or separate them as you see fit. Also some people have requested their batting/bowling records when playing at home and when you have multiple home grounds its a bit difficult to collate them together without having the ability to select multiple venues.

Not sure if i'm going crazy but i thought there was a report (thought i ran it last month) that you could run that listed each match for a range with date, round, venue, match result, match points awarded, and maybe even the scores of both teams. There is the Match Results report but it doesn't have the Match Points awarded in it. Is there such a report?

It would be nice to include some more info on the Public website Player pages. Some of it may be confidential eg DOB but others would help. DOB Player ExtID - the only way you can view this number is in Complete Player Summary report in the Admin site Notes - maybe have their Notes included but not Private Notes from the Admin site

After analyzing a few players individual Player Report on the public site i noticed the number of Matches they played is different in the summary at the top of their page compared to the breakdown section which does seasons, grades, opposition clubs etc at the bottom of the page. Just noting all the other data was correct though eg Batting inns, runs, no's, bowling wickets and bowling runs etc - the issue is only with the Matches played that was incorrect. After some investigation I'm pretty sure i know what the issue is as we may have discussed this before - our comp lets you name 12 players for the team but only 11 cat bat (so the configure section of Grades is still always set to 11 players) - so therefore we have 1 player bats and the other player can bowl. So my investigation found when the player who bowled was not listed on the batting scorecard he didn't get a match in the breakdown section only in the summary section. As i mentioned earlier all their bowling stats were included for the player in question in both the summary and breakdown sections. How do you set the minimum requirement for some of the Reports that appear on the Public version of the website? Eg setting the minimum number of overs bowled for the Bowling strike rate report? at the moment most reports to default to a minimum of 1 over bowled and i want to change that to 50 or 100 overs.
