i think this seems to be a PlayHQ import issue as i notice that sometimes PlayHQ lists all the fielders first on their bowling list with 0 overs bowled for each of them... and then it lists the bowlers after the fielders. so when you import the fielders appear as well. So our w/k would not have been a listed bowler but PlayHQ puts them in that list anyway. Ive been then having to go into the bowling list after the import and move the bowling names around to reflect the actaul match order.

Top % of inns total Batting report. We've had a few batsman dominate a batting scorecard and they like to see where they appear on this list.

I regularly get asked for a ducks on debut batting report. I think people like to see some old timers names appear in this list!

It appears MyCricket has gone down as I'm getting the same Error code 0. The website was fine just before Christmas but looks like something has happened since to MyC.

As i thought data entry error! For all the old match entries i usally just put down the same captain and w/k for each team for the season but obviosuly some games they didn't actually play in them. I'll use that report to fix them all. Thanks

Our club uses a MyCricket website and has been down since early March and despite numerous emails to them I’ve had no replies. So I’m almost thinking they have started chopping some club websites already. yes I wouldn’t be banking on MyCricket transferring match scorecards over to the new platform they might do career stats but that’s about it. None of this is official just my gut feel on what they have done so far. I would agree with Mark and suggest to people to import the MyC match scorecards to CS before they disappear…

Unfortunately no - we had won 17 games in a row but couldn't win the 18th to cap the season off - we didn't make enough runs batting first, we were 3/84 and then all out for 106 !!!

Yes Steve has had quite the career at our club and holds most records, the only thing now is he is getting a bit long in the tooth and generally bats down low in the order which is reflective of his age and mobility!

You are correct with the team you slected for our club. I think my initial issue was with Steve Lockwood batting so high, which as you mention below is around using the correct date ranges. So i'd need to check this a bit more before i report back to you.

Mark our club had a team in the Grand Final yesterday and they have pretty much been using the same line up and a similar batting order for quite a few weeks. So when i ran the Batting optimiser report i noted it didn't really provide a very good batting order for that team in my opinion. It was putting blokes in batting positions that they hadn't batted in all year or had a poor ave in that batting position. i haven't got much time this week to provide the examples but will send something next week for you to look over.

Gino just note that our Association (which you are also in) tend to update the club names slightly every season and also the venue names. So i redo the alias' at the start of season for every club and venue to ensure they match what i have already in our database. I've got no idea why they can't just use the same naming convention from the previous season but they love to change it up most seasons.

Would this be based on total runs or ave runs between the 2 batsman?

MyCricket will be still around for this season 2022/23 for half of Australia (WA & Vic at least) whilst the other parts of Oz have moved over to PlayHQ. I've been told that they haven't migrated much of the MyCricket data over to Play HQ as yet....making it very difficult for clubs...

If playHQ allows you to use the Player ID that will help going forward - much easier trying to match a number than a name. We have an awful lot of players with the name "Smith" in our library and we are only a single club - it doesn't take much for them to then have have similar initials...

I got around it by changing one of the players initials in MyCricket - obviously not ideal and their mum and dad would probably not be happy but i could never find a way around it. I had a chat to one of them and said do you mind if i change your initials in MyCricket and they were fine with it. Now i have no issue importing and doing any checking.

I’ve played and watched a lot of cricket and I’ve never seen anything like that in my life !!!! Extremely unlucky.

thanks - i was obviously doing it wrong. I'll fix up my retired batsman by finding them with the Retired Batsman Audit report.

When rereading the FAQ for the retired batsman section, i think that part is clear (which i haven't done in the above example), its just clearer details are required for the FOW section and how to enter a retired batsman for the partnerships to calculate correctly. Eg in the above example have i entered the right FOW (eg 3rd wkt) for retired batsman Dave Spencer? and the next actual FOW (Alex Ninkov) is also the 3rd wkt.
