I just noticed on the public website in the one club mode when trying to trying to filter any reports for our Teams ie First XI, 2nd XI etc this option is now greyed out and you can’t filter for each Team anymore.
It turns out there wasn't a bug a such - sorry - I thought I was onto something that could explain the confusion.
I started writing something longer but I think it is better if it is simple:
The team filters were
only added 5 weeks ago [update: fixed link] - so they haven't been around long and their basic functions haven't changed - they have always required that you be looking at a specific club for them to be enabled
You now have the choice of which mode you want to operate in - nothing has really changed between how the modes operate - the main change is that people that were in one mode can now choose to switch to the other. If you were happy with the way it was then be sure to stay there.
If there are reports you want to see added (like the opposition high and low scores) then be sure to post them up as suggestions - they would be good for either mode of operation
I am always open to feedback so if anything is confusing with the changes then let me know and I will explain them more (including making changes to the set up screen so it is less confusing)
I actually can't recall which mode you were on. If it was the league mode then stick with it. You can send your players links to the SMCC club URL so they can filter by team easily. They can then traverse to the league page by hitting the Home link at the top. You get the best of both worlds. If you were on the single club mode and prefer the league mode then go for it!
If you are then it isn't in single club mode. When you aren't in single club mode then you need to first select a club and switch to a club page and then the teams will show.
I can understand what you’ve done but No offense but this is pretty confusing to the ave user in single club mode and I’m not sure they would realise what is going on with the filters.
But you aren't in single club mode. Your database is set to league mode. It would be much simpler for your users if you were set to single club mode. (Setup/Stats Site Config and then select SMCC from the club list rather than "all clubs")
Obviously during the southern hemisphere off season there has been a lot of configure and setup changes which i Havent taken that much notice of.
Not sure what bug you are fixing but it was nice to have all club stats in single club mode eg when the opposition scored a large or small score it would also be recorded in the relevant lists - when you set the site to single club mode all these scores are removed.
I think I would prefer to stay in League mode despite being a single club as there is extra info that appears in the reports. So in this mode the team filter is disabled……. but Ive noticed I’ve inadvertently added a work around for our club by using the pool field as a seudo team filter anyway - as I added the team names ( first, 2nd, 3rd etc) in the pool field years ago and I’ve continued to use it.
No, the team filter isn't disabled for league mode, it is just not available when you are on the home page. As soon as you move to any of your club pages (including your own) then the new teams filter will activate.
Your DB is in league mode. But try going to Clubs via the menu item at the top and then selecting your Club from the page. Once done, go to any stats report and click the filter. All of your teams will be there as a drop-down option for you.
I have taken your feedback on and added more info to a whole lot of places to try and help others avoid similar confusion.
For greyed-out teams, I have added this tooltip:
For the club mode config addition - I have added Q29 at our FAQ plus added some more notes/commentary to the bottom of the What's New post on it.
I think that will go a long way to helping. I will close this thread off but don't hesitate to post up if you have questions about anything else that has been recently added.

My aim is to please.
Do you have a link that I can see?
Hi Joel,
I assume you might be referring to this URL:
https://www2.cricketstatz.com/ss/w?club=17696
If you are then it isn't in single club mode. When you aren't in single club mode then you need to first select a club and switch to a club page and then the teams will show.
This is by design.
You can see it in action when you visit the SMCC "club" page at https://www2.cricketstatz.com/ss/w?club=17697 (and the teams are all there in the filter for you).

@Joel Norman I think I have worked out what has transpired here and it is a bit of a misunderstanding caused by a bug.
Let me fix the bug first and then I will explain, Standby

Thanks for the info Mark.
