MyCricket players listed as *******

From MyCricket FAQ. PLAYER NAMES APPEARING ********* To ensure all cricket participants have their right to privacy protected, MyCricket now gives participants the ability to hide there playing details across all the MyCricket Web platforms. If enabled, the players name will appear as ********* on team lists and scorecards that are publicly available.

So this causes the CricketStatz (website) MyCricket import to have a fit. Not sure how we can work around this one. Oddly enough the names do appear in the app version of MyCricket.

I am not sure there is much that can be done here. If MyCricket don't publish names then we really can't match them.

Your best bet may be to request players in your club/league don't enable this feature.

In any case, can you share a match ID with me where this is the case?

Two of our matches from the weekend. 3225955 3230995

Its not an association thing, its up to the individual, I will forward you the FAQ pdf from MyCricket/Cricket Aus.

Even if we can't deal with the ****** the import needs to be able to handle it someway as I cannot import the match otherwise.

Hi Trent and Mark. This is also causing me a problem and have had to enter the scoresheets manually. The plan from MyCricket is totally flawed as the names are viewable on the public app and but not via the website where Cricketstatz draws its data. for me it is only the opposition clubs where this has occurred as we have no issues with VDCC players. Is there a way where Cricketstatz when uploading a file either ignores the ******** entry and replaces it with unknown or blank. As it is an opposition club it does not feature in our stats. If you want an example look at MyCricket match ID 3152616. Would save myself and others a heap of time and pane if we could automate past this during upload.

It's only our opposition that this displays for the two games I have, but it doesn't mean one of our juniors parents might set this for them at some stage. I haven't looked to see if we (clubs or assoc) can switch this off but it appears to be an option for the player regardless of club or assoc.

But agree that it just needs to be handles as unknown or something so the match can still be imported.

Have you tried creating a player named "unknown" and then adding an Alias as ********** ?

OK Please try an import now and let me know how it goes. It should just leave the player blank and not give any error.

Worked for one of my two games. The one that worked was only listed in the batting lineup.

This match 3230995 the person took a catch and a wicket.

Its the above screen capture and errors at the same point

I am trying to import matches from Play Cricket to the database - however, it doesn't seem to be working. It seems to get stuck if there is a player/official not in the database - I've tried the 'Quick Add' but the match won't upload any further.

I notice an issue with the historical stats we imported into the system. Players that have since changed club cannot see their stats on their current profile page. Their profile page only have their stats from their current team; however if they view their profile from the league page their complete stats is visible. Can you look into this for me please.

I guess this is a question for the other users. Recently our association has incorporated a lot more T20 games for competition points in our fixture. It's not a separate comp, all goes to the end of season ladder. We play two of them in a day. The association counts them as 0.5 toward the players games played (for qualification purposes to finals and awards). Issue I am having is that the more T20 we have in the season, the cricketstatz matches played is going to go up significantly. Just wondering how others handle this? Or is there some way of counting games as .5 in CS? Maybe a setting to count match types as only 0.5? But I don't think CS web version captures the match type of T20 (the software did I think), it appears to only display as 1inns. Hoping for thoughts before I put in a suggestion.
