I have just moved this one back to Questions since I think we can deal with the issues you list for 8-ball over matches.

@Adam Morehouse have you had similar experiences with 8-ball over matches?

I have gone ahead and made some changes to the way the overs are recorded to help with matches that have something other than 6-ball overs.

The value for total overs entered will now be used for the innings total overs and the sum of the bowling total overs will only be used when the total overs has not been entered. This should address your issues with 8 ball matches. Let me know if it doesn't by providing some more details.
