You are currently seeing a whole bunch of improvements to Cricket Statz and you might be wondering what is driving it. I thought I would pause for a moment and explain the rationale behind the current developments.
While it may seem that I am randomly changing things - I can assure you there is an overall plan.
Cricket Statz, the online version, was started around 20 years ago. The browser technologies used back then were mainly on desktop PC's so the system was originally written with desktop as the main target. As you know, things have evolved from desktops to tablets to mobile phones - so the system is currently being overhauled to make it much more responsive for mobile phone users.
The stats site pages are now very mobile-friendly and will render up nicely when accessed by mobile browsers. If you haven't had a look at your stats site on your phone then take the time to do it - you will be pleased with how it looks. Be sure to send a link to your players - most of them will be using their phones to view things.
I am currently working through the admin panel and ball-b-ball pages to make them more mobile-friendly.
The ultimate goal is to allow match scorecards and results to be entered via the phone just as easily as doing it on the desktop.
