My Club started using CricketStatz last season. What I am trying to understand is how to create a new season in CricketStatz and close out the old season.
You don't need to do anything. Seasons are automatically calculated.
Since you are an Australian club then your season will start from 1 July and end 30 June - which will catch all the cricket-playing months. Just select 2023/24 as your season filter and it will return stats for the upcoming season.
Does that make sense?
PS - I should add, for anyone reading, that you shouldn't include the season name in your division - otherwise you will end up with a large mass of divisions. You should be using the season filter and keep the division name simple like '1st grade'.

I may have missed something - where do you set up the season filters ?
It is a matter of selecting the season (not "setting it up" as such).
Here is your public web site: https://www2.cricketstatz.com/ss/w.aspx?mode=104&club=34182
Click on the Filters drop down and select the Season and hit Go:
All stats reports will then be for that specific season.
Similarly, you can limit the date range of reports run from the admin panel.
Thank you !
One final question - we toured Ireland and England in 2023 - how do we get a season set up for those matches ?
You will need to do a custom date range from the reports section in the admin panel for that one.
This filter appears on the report page after you select your report and will allow you to enter custom date ranges:
