If it doesn't create duplicate, that is perfect. The only match types we use in Leinster are "1 innings" and "T20", And matches can change in type if they are rained off and refixed as a T20 match, so looking back there is no way of working out which match has which type. It's not a big one - everything could be "1 innings", but I use it as en extra filter - so for example I could search for all T20 matches played

Top work. One very minor thing is that I was entering thousands of matches (I used the API t make it easier), but didn't want to ruin the output of the various "Howout" reports, and so added "Unknown" instead of "Caught". But that's only minor

Our covid delayed season is only getting going this weekend, so I'll report back from the 180 odd teams who input scorecards. As Mark alluded to, now that scorecards are auto-populated from the team lists it makes little sense to have them in alphabetical order - no teams bats its players in alphabetical order. But against that, as everyone has said above, a settled batting order is unheard of in most club cricket teams, so I'm not quite sure that is the ideal solution either. However at least by ordering the team with the core players at the top, you are more likely to have the right players in the auto populated scorecard

Thanks Joel. And would you mark the result in anyway? Or maybe change the format in some way like, "X beat Y by 23 runs batting on"?

An update on this one. I'm withdrawing this suggestion. as the API is a great way to be uploading results and scorecards. Knew I was doing something wrong. Forgot that team list could be ordered manually! Was struggling to see why teams would bat their players in alphabetical order every week. Glad I asked the question

No problem. I’ll stick it up as a suggestion. It would be easier if it defaulted to blank? The chances of it being the correct name in the correct batting position are pretty slim, so everything has to be cleared before you manually enter a card

Thanks Mark. You were right! Teaching myself as I go along, but can create a match now. One other thing (can create a new thread if you want). Can I not add the Pool via the API?

I'm starting to get to the next phase of this project now. Am I right in thinking that I could run an API to push the team score for our 7000+ old matches to CricketStatz? Is there any reason why that wouldn't work? One issue that I can think of is as detailed above with the problem of getting the wickets for each innings. The only way is to have "invisible batsmen" , ie the "Batsman1" firstname and lastname as blank, but then have "Howout" as "3". Would that cause problems?

Yes the information is in that report. And it's fine for me if I'm trying to get that info. But it's not massively user friendly - I'd need to create the Complete Summary Report, copy the data into Excel, create a column in Excel to add the three types of dismissal, and then sort by that column to see who is top So this one is all about user friendliness rather than accessing the data

Hi Mark This one is a bit different. The email is a google group, so there is no spam folder. We use lots of them to disseminate information around clubs, and they are all working, and are getting reset emails from CricketStatz, Apart from this one! That points to a typo with the address, either with the group or the account in CricketStatz, but I just can't see it Here is the account name in CricketStatz (top) and the Google Group name (bottom) clondalkin@cricketleinster.ie clondalkin@cricketleinster.ie I'm pretty sure they are identical. So I'm at a loss as to why this password reset isn't going out, but the other the 40 odd I use are!I have a hunch that there is something odd at your end - and by that I mean that I could have used the same address somewhere else, but can't see it. If I delete all the instances of this user (it is used across two of our accounts) and then add them back, the first one says that the email already exists. Any way you could see how many appointments there are for this email address across my accounts?

Could I re-visit this one please!? Although I have no problems with the work around as described above, in reality I get complaints from users saying that they can't get a breakdown by club or team. Would it be possible to consider these dropdowns on the public site to improve the user experience?

Hi Lots if clubs in Cricket Leinster use Total Cricket Scorer (both on iPad which is no longer supported and on PC which is). We used TCS before CricHQ bought it, but CricHQ have continued to develop it. So in order to exprt mxp files, you need to be using Total Cricket Scorer 11 (but not the CricHQ scoring app) On game day, you can export the file at any time - whether the match is open or closed. Just hit the Export to Cricket Statz button on the Match ribbon

Hi. We import approx 12 matches a week from TCS version 11 to CricketStatz. It's a prtty starightforward process, with one tricky bit. The players/teams/grounds etc you export need to be identical to the ones you have on your CricketStatz database. So in TCS you need to nake sure this is the case. If you are getting TCS files from other clubs, you needto make sure that either the clubs use the correct locations/teams etc or that when you import it into your copy of TCS they are correct. With player names, you have an alternative. Either you make sure they are correct in TCS, or you add aliases in CricketStatz. We've gone down the route of making sure the names are correct in TCS Once that is done, press "Export to CricketSTatz" in TCS (in the Match menu). Then in setup in CricketStatz import the mxp file. Get back to me if you get stuck
