A new player selection system has been implemented to help reduce the work required to maintain team lists.
When entering a scorecard, you now only need to enter the first two letters of the player's last name. You will then be presented with a pick list of players that are active and play for the club of the corresponding fielding or batting team:
You no longer have to worry about maintaining team lists. You just need to make sure that the players are set to active and their current club is correct. Both of these fields can be set in the Player record.

I am considering changing the way a player is selected when entering a scorecard to reduce the time you need to spend updating team lists.
The change would remove pre-populated scorecards based on team lists but introduce the ability to type the first 3 letters (or more) of the player's last name and then be presented with a list of all matching active club players to choose from.

Added support for the 100 ball format.
You can now select 100 ball as a match type, filter via the Match Type Filter. Scorecards will capture Balls bowled rather than overs and Dot Balls bowled rather than maidens where the 100 Ball match type is selected. The match report will show Runs per Ball rather than Runs per Over for bowlers.
The Cricket Archive match import will now detect 100 ball matches and import balls bowled correctly.
If anyone needs the Play-cricket import updated then please add it as a suggestion.

The admin panel pages are undergoing a bit of a modernisation. You will notice that the menu and page titles have changed a bit. The page width is also more responsive to the type of device used.
This is the start of a bunch of changes that you will see to make the admin panel better for mobile users.
The "dark mode" has temporarily disappeared as a result - but it should be back sometime in the near future.
If you are a mobile user and have a suggestion for improvement then please post up in the suggestion forum.

Added D/L info to the match details page to help calculate Net Run Rate (NRR) more accurately. See Q24 at https://www.cricketstatz.com/faq for details on how to best enter D/L scores for accurate NRR calculations.

For @lyall173 There are a bunch of tools that you can use to filter match stats based on a whole lot of things. The first one is the match type - so if you only want stats for ODI (1 day) games or T20 games then you can use the Match Type filter. The next obvious filter you can use is the Division filter - which you can filter matches of different grades. You can also have multiple divisions/grades selected for any report which gives you a lot of versatility. Finally, Cricket Statz has a Pool filter - when you can tag any match with a text string and then this becomes a filter option. While it was designed to allow for Pools, there is no reason why you can't use it for any general purpose. With a combination of these three filters, you should be able to do almost anything with your master database so that you don't need to run multiple databases and enter the same match several times. If you need more help, feel free to reply with more details on how your reporting needs work across the different grades and match types and I can try and help with specific ideas.

https://mycricketsupport.cricket.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/4933748224271-Club-Association-websites According this official post, it is saying: If the competition management platform is decommissioned then I expect that we won't get access to match scorecards - which means that we will no longer be able to import any MyCricket matches. Given it is already the end of the 22/23 season, then this could happen at any time. @Pat Culpan @Joel Norman Any official dates that you know of? My recommendation to all that have matches on MyCricket - get importing them to Cricket Statz now! Before they are all gone. PS - I know they they have promised to make "stats" available longer term, but this isn't match scorecards.

The trial (try-before-you-buy) system for new databases has been changed. It is now a 30 day free trial with a 30 match annual limit. The intent has always been to give new users the full experience of the service before they subscribe. It is expected that prospective users will be able to fully evaluate the service within 30 days and purchase a subscription at the end of the trial period. It also means that existing users now get 30 days free bonus on any new database they create. Previously the trial was a 15 match annual limit with no expiry date. Anyone that is on the old 15 match limit trial will be moved over to the new trial system.

Some of you may remember the batting order optimiser from the old PC software. Well... it's back! It will calculate the optimal batting order of your top 7 batters, based on their success in each batting position, for any given team.
How it works
You run it from the admin panel/reports function. It is towards the end of the batting section (you may need to scroll the batting reports to the bottom). You must pick a single team to run it on. It will then look at the first 16 players of the team list and then work out the optimal batting order for the top 7 batters. It does this by taking each player's average score at each batting position (with a minimum of two scores at the given position) and then trying every possible permutation to find the optimal order of batters - all 57.6 million of them! It will show the best set of batters and their expected scores including a total score for them. Filter options
You can filter by season, date range, ground, division and opposition if you like. It is recommended to use the last 12-24 months as a date filter so that it represents the batters recent form. Example output: Try it today in the admin panel/reports batting section. Select the Batting Order Optimiser report, select your team, select a start/end date range to capture recent matches and then hit Run.
